On March 27, 2003 at approximately 3:00 A.M., the Dover Police Department received a report of a single vehicle accident on Blue Brook Road. Upon Sergeant Johnson’s arrival, he found a Connecticut registered Chevrolet Barretta had gone off the road and came to a stop by a telephone pole, with no one around. Sergeant Johnson continued up Blue Brook Road to look for the occupants of the vehicle and found the operator at the crash site on his trip back. The operator of the vehicle, Michael Parker, 25, of Milford, Connecticut, was cited to appear in Windham District Court on April 8, 2003 on the charge of DUI. The passenger of the vehicle did seek medical attention later in the day for a sore shoulder.
On March 29, 2003 at approximately 6:30 P.M., the Dover Police Department received a report of a single vehicle accident on Handle Road, just south of the Tannery Road intersection. Upon Patrol Officer Christopher Lora arrival, he found a Connecticut registered Ford Taurus off the road and two subjects with the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle, Jon Ort, 39, of West Suffield, Connecticut, was cited to appear in Windham District Court on April 8, 2003 on the charge of DUI.
On April 4, 2003, at approximately 12:35 P.M., the Dover Police Department received a report of that a Vermont registered GMC Jimmy was off the road between Heads Up Salon and Fernot Construction. The vehicle was reportedly stuck in a snow bank, near the river with its tires spinning. Sergeant Johnson responded to find the operator of the vehicle, Michael Kozlowski, 51, of Wilmington, around the back of Heads Up Salon with several witnesses. Kozlowski was cited to appear in Windham District Court on April 22, 2003 on the charge of DUI #2.
After receiving information on June 28, 2003 the Dover Police Department executed a search warrant that was issued that same day to conduct a search of an area condo unit for stolen property. As a result of the search, items were recovered that had been stolen during many burglaries in the beginning of May. Christopher Bodisher, 21, of West Dover Vermont was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property. Bodisher was lodged for lack of $5,000 cash bail and was ordered to appear in court on Monday June 30, 2003. As a follow up to this investigation, on July 1, 2003, Timothy Buckley, 18, of Readsboro, was cited to appear in Windham District Court on August 12, 2003 on the charge of burglary. The investigation into the burglaries associated with the recovered property is continuing with more charges expected in the future. The investigation was conducted by all officers of the Dover Police Department as well as being assisted by Deputy Warden Cook of the Fish and Wildlife Department.
